“A boring Phone” — I don't remember where I first saw this word, but the point is keeping your phone apps to the bare minimum getting rid of all unnecessary apps — games, social media apps, and all that, so much it’s boring. The goal is you end up spending less time on your phone.

While I’ve made my phone a boring phone, in the hope of getting work done while at it. I went a bit further with a voluntary digital exile — I temporarily deactivated all my social media accounts, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp.

I still find myself picking up the phone in intervals, disappointed on not finding any interesting app to use, I end up doing random stuff like viewing old photos, tinkering with the phone settings — just anything to keep on the phone. SMH.

I went on to install apps of what I’ve been looking to do more, Khan Academy — for studying, Medium — for writing. Also, an app that keeps me from using the phone for a preset period of time.

I hope this gets me to do some quality works in the coming days or weeks.
